What PDFBull is

PDFBull is a set of free browser-based tools for working with PDF files. There is no account, no subscription and no payment. The tools run inside your browser — see the Privacy Policy for what that does and does not mean.

Your files stay yours

We claim no ownership of, and no licence over, anything you process here. We could not exercise one if we wanted to: your files are never transmitted to us, so we never hold a copy.

You are responsible for having the right to process the files you use these tools on.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use PDFBull to process material you have no legal right to process, or for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to circumvent, disable or interfere with the site's operation, or with anyone else's use of it.
• Access the site through automated means at a scale that degrades it for others.
• Misrepresent PDFBull as your own service, or imply an endorsement or affiliation that does not exist.

No warranty

PDFBull is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Concretely, and without hedging: we do not warrant that a tool will produce a correct result for every possible PDF, that the site will be available, or that it is free of defects. PDF is a large and irregular format, and files in the wild do not always follow it. Keep your original file until you have checked that the result is what you expected.

Protect PDF deserves its own sentence. It applies AES-128 encryption using the PDF standard security handler. That is a real, widely supported standard and it is also an old one: the strength of the result depends on the password you choose, and we make no representation that an encrypted file is secure against a determined attacker. We cannot recover a password you forget.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PDFBull and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of your use of or inability to use the site.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Availability and changes

This is a free service. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it, at any time, without notice and without liability. We may also update these terms; the date at the top of this page changes when we do, and continuing to use the site after a change means accepting it.

Intellectual property

The PDFBull name, logo, design and site content belong to their owner. These terms grant you no rights in them beyond using the site as intended.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which PDFBull's operator is established, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
